Family photos. I never do them. I don't know why. But I tried today, with a tripod and remote. It was super hard. Here are a few:

So that's done. Next up? City taxes and laundry. I know, slow down gurl.
If you are a dreamer, come in,
If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar,
A hope-er, a pray-er, a magic bean buyer…
If you’re a pretender, come sit by my fire
For we have some flax-golden tales to spin.
Come in!
Come in!

I did it. I FINALLY did it. I'm now the proud owner of the Sigma 35mm 1.4 Art lens. I'm so totally in love with it. It's quick and sharp and makes me feel kind of funny...like climbing the rope in gym class.
Just look at this image. It's crisp as a wafer cookie and the colors are dreamy. Throw a little prism action in there and the magic happens. Right there in my own backyard.
If you need me today, I'll be watching The Office in bed with my lens. Together forever and never to part. Except when I'm anywhere near water.

Last night we crashed at my grandparent's house. Grandma Rain and Grandpa Joe. I took a bunch of photos that seemed to annoy everyone, but sometimes it's ok to annoy people to capture good stuff like this. Don't worry Grandpa, you're next.
I asked the girls some questions about Grandma Rain a few minutes ago. Just for fun:
What is your favorite thing about Grandma?
Mal-She gave me jewelry.
Lydia-That whenever we come over, she's very generous.
Why do you like going to her house?
Mal-Because, you know, it's very big and has a basement.
Lydia-Because we always end up with lots of fun.
What is Grandma's favorite thing to do?
Mal-Well, to play!
Lydia-To just have fun.
What is your one wish for Grandma?
Mal-To give her a necklace.
Lydia-To have great times.
What is Grandma's favorite thing about you?
Mal-She likes me. A lot.
Lydia-We obey orders directly given.
