In preschool, Lydia called the letter "a" a chicken. I'm not sure why. For whatever reason, the letter, in typed font, looked like a chicken to her. It was sickening adorable, and we did not have the heart to correct it. She'd be spelling out words and it would go like this: L-Y-D-I-Chicken. So awesome, right? Well, this went on until Kindergarten until one day she came home and said it correctly. That was a sad day. But I was glad I didn't have to ever correct her myself :)
Now she is eight. Eight. EIGHT. (Such an odd looking word, right?)
